The Parks and Recreation Division provides fun, safe and affordable recreational programs and event opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles for all in our community.

The Division maintains and operates eleven public parks and a community center for our community and visitors to enjoy. Each park is equipped with BBQ grills and picnic areas that are wonderful for family outings. If you would like to reserve a park or community center facility, please visit the Parks and Recreation office to check availability or view the online calendars for each facility on the Facility Reservation page.

Current Events and Programs

New Town Office Hours - Starting Monday, August 4th

Town offices will no longer be open on Fridays. We will be open Monday-Thursday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. 

FORT VERDE DAYS

Vendor registration remains open for Fort Verde Days, although all inside spaces filled up fast. Interested vendors can register here. This is our 2 day "homecoming" event honoring the history and culture of our community being held Oct. 11-12, 2025. The parade them is Heart of Arizona this year and registration is open for that here. Our Grand Marshal for this year Dr. Jim Bleak!

Our Little Britches/Little Petticoats contest will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 11:00 am on the Main Stage. Register those littles here. It is FREE to enter! All entrants will be invited to ride on the Little Britches/Little Petticoats Parade float on Saturday. 

Parks & Recreation Commission Meetings

Our Parks & Recreation Commission was developed to be advisory to the Town Council, representing the community. They have regular monthly meetings and an occasional work session as needed. These meetings are held the first Monday of the month in Council Chambers located at 473 S. Main Street and they are open to public. Meetings are formatted like the Town Council meetings, following open meeting laws. Agendas are posted on the Parks & Recreation Commission page on the Town website. Next Regular Session is September 8, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Regular meetings are also accessible via Zoom. The August meeting has been cancelled due to lack of agenda items. 

Adult Co-Ed Kickball is coming to Camp Verde!

Our inaugural season of Kickball will be here soon. Registration is limited to 8 teams this season and you can register your team here. It is $225 per team and each team can have up to 20 players. This will be a fun-filled recreational activity that can be enjoyed by all. Games will start October 6th with games being played on Monday and Wednesday at the Sports Complex. There will be 7 regular season games with a single elimination tournament, giving each team and 8 game guarantee.

Grasshopper Basketball

Registration is open for our 1st-4th grade Grasshopper basketball. Registration is $45 per player. There will be one 1 hour practice each week with games on Saturday mornings, all in the Camp Verde Community Center Gym. Register here. There is a sibling discount for families with multiple children. Regular registration ends September 19th, late registration has a $5 late fee and ends Oct. 3rd. We ask that all players attend the Skills Assessment on Monday, October 6th. First games will be played Saturday, October 18th.
